The method is deliberately boring — pull the brand’s published spec, read the composition and the care instructions, and recompute cost per wear at an honest lifespan instead of a marketing one. Where a spec is not published, the review says so and asks the plain question: is it worth paying before you know?

The house stance is that a staple earns a recommendation with numbers, not a founder story. A heavyweight tee that publishes 220 GSM ring-spun cotton and survives four years of rotation is a better buy than a mystery-weight one at half the price, and the cost-per-wear math is shown so you can check the claim yourself. Construction gets the same treatment: Goodyear welt versus Blake versus cemented, flat-felled versus overlocked seams — named, not admired.

Cole claims no textile degree, no factory background, and no design credential — none is claimed because none is held. The authority here is method: published documents read closely, price-per-wear recomputed the same way for every product, and durability described from published care specs plus broad user consensus, always labeled as consensus.
