Slub

Slub is deliberate unevenness in a yarn — periodic thick-and-thin sections that give fabric a textured, slightly nubby surface and a lived-in look straight off the shelf. It is a style choice, common on premium and vintage-leaning tees, not a manufacturing defect. Practical notes: slub texture hides wear and wrinkles a bit, reads more casual than a smooth jersey, and can feel drier to the hand. Whether you want it is taste; what matters for value is that "slub" describes appearance and should not, by itself, command a large premium over a comparable-weight smooth tee.
